The Zipless Election
Thank you, Erica Jong. Thank you, Huffington Post, for publishing this brilliant essay.

Also found on HP was this article by Joseph Wilson, who shares my concern that America is choosing lofty idealism over substance and practicality.

Oh, all the promises, never meant to keep.
These Politicians and The Media and Hollywood/Washington D.C.
Wish I could believe any of them, but I’m really so tired of it.
They already know who our next President will be.
I believe that.

As I read both articles I give in to the tears again that have been just happening over the past two days. I am furious and anguished beyond anything I have ever known.
I am grieving for a country who just doesn’t get it.
The battle tested gladiator is what we need.
The future IS for change, but we need Hillary to repair the damage.
I listen to Mr. Obama every day, Let’s face it, I could be voting for him soon. But what I hear over and over is: Voted No on Iraq, no special interests,
alot of what he WON’T do. Oh yeah, and he is just going to leave Iraq immedietly…after being pushed on how un-realisitic this idea is, Mr Obama says he will confer with military advisors and figure it out.
Hillary HAS conferred with Military advisors, and already has a workable withdrawal plan.
Until Hillary began mentioning all the people who would have to be considered before we all just up and left, Mr Obama had clearly not given it ANY consideration. People, why oh why do you want to put someone in charge who will need to be led to lead? We already have that disaster.
We all want change…but we need healing first.
Don’t look for for any help in the healthcare situation either. Same same same…oh yeah I mean change.
